Abstract

Tales, which have an important field of study in the field of folklore, have been the subject of many researches in Turkey and the Turkish World, and have been examined from various aspects. It has been determined that the tales in our social memory are not only important for the education of the child. The presence or absence of a child is an important event in Turkish cultural life. Because children are in Turkish culture; It is seen as a source of abundance, abundance and joy. This presence and absence of the child affects both himself and his environment. For this reason, it is thought that the actions of the child in tales and the actions done by others during his existence should be examined in detail. The absence of a study covering the child on its own has prompted us to work in this area. In this thesis, the concepts and elements related to children in the tale texts compiled from the Central Asian field and published in books, doctoral theses and master's theses were determined and examined. In our study; definition of tale and child, child as hero in tales, beliefs and practices about child in transition periods and relations of child with family in tales are examined in detail.
