Abstract

VI ABSTRACT CORRELATIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE TUBER YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS IN POTATO GENOTYPES GROWN AS MAIN CROP TUNALI, Ayfer Msc. in Agriculture Eng. Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. önder ÇAYLAK February 1988, 29 pages This study was carried out under Menemen main crop planting conditions. The material consisted of 20 potato genotypes. The means of tuber yield and its components were analyzed by using correlation and path analyse in order to determine the selection criterion in a potato yield breeding program. Result of the study showed that the tuber yield per acre had the highest positive significant correlations with total tuber number and single plant tuber yield, which had also the highest positive direct effect on tuber yield per acre based on path analysis. Key words: Potato, correlative relationships, tuber yield, tuber yield components.
