Abstract

44 SUMMARY In this research, it was studied the yield and some agronomical characteristics of five different cow pea varieties of (Amindo, Bodil, Maxi, Stehgold and Golf). The research was conducted at the experimental fields of Aegean University Agriculture Faculty, Department of Field Crops in 1990-1991. The experimental design was a complate block randomized with two replications. The experimental field was ploughed and seed bed was prepared in Autumn. The area of the plots were 4x2=8m2, the sowing was done on 15.11.1990. Amindo, Bodil, Maxi and Stehgold varieties were harvested on 15.5.1991, where as Golf variety was harvested on 15.6.1991. The results relating to the yield and some agronomical characteristics of the variete3 can be summarized a3 following; 1. There wasn't a variation among the varieties in terms of the number of main branches, side branches of the plant, the number of pod's per branch, the number of seeds per pod, the crude fiber percentage of seed and yield. 2. There was a variation among the varieties interms of the 1000-seed v/eight. the seed yield, the crude protein percentage of seed and yield, the crude ash percentage of seed and yield. It wa3 observed that maxi variety is the highest value in terms of the 1000 seed weight. Stehgold variety gave the highest value with regard of the seed yield. As for the highest value was obtanied from Golf variety in terms of the crude protein,45 crude ash in the seed. In the light of the results obtained, it may be suggested that; 1. The Stehgold variety should be used if it was desired to produce seed under Aegean region conditions. 2. Under our reginal conditions, since cow-pea is an annual plant, it may be a good rotation crop after cotton harvest.

42 ÖZET Ege Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü'ne ait deneme tarlalarında 1990-1991 yıllarında yürütülen bu araştırmada, beş farklı yem bezelyesinde (Amindo, Bodil, Maxi, Stehgold ve Golf) verim ve diğer bazı tarımsal özellikler incelenmiştir. Bu araştırma, iki tekerrürlü olarak tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre kurulmuştur. Deneme tarlası sonbaharda sürülmüş, ekim için tohum yatağı hazırlanmıştır. Bu işlemler sonunda 4 m x 2 ma 8 ma'lik parsellerde ©kim 15.11.1990 tarihinde yapılmıştır. Hasat, Amindo, Bodil, Maxi ve Stehgold çeşitlerinde 15.5.1991 tarihinde yapılmıştır. Golf çeşidinde ise hasat 15.6.1991 tarihinde yapılmıştır. Çeşitler arasında, verim ve diğer bazı özelliklere ait sonuçlar aşağıda özetlenmiştir. 1.Bitkide ana dal sayısı, yan dal sayısı, daldaki bakla sayısı baklada dane sayısı, danede ham sellüloz oranı ve ham sellüloz verimi açısından çeşitler arasında bir farklılık yoktur. 2.Bin dane ağırlığı, tohum verimi, danede ham protein oranı ve ham protein verimi, danede ham kül oranı ve ham kül verimi bakımından çeşitler arasında bir farklılık vardır. 3.Maxi çeşidinin, bin dane ağırlığı bakımından en yüksek değerde olduğu gözlenmiştir. Tohum verimi bakımından Stehgold çeşidi en yüksek değeri vermiştir. Golf çeşidinde ise danede ham protein oranı, ham sellüloz oranı, ham protein43 verimi ve ham kül verimi bakımından en yüksek değerler bulunmuştur. Elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında aşağıdaki önerilerde bulunulabilir. 1.Ege bölgesinde dane üretimi amaçlandığında Stehgold çeşidi kullanılmalıdır. 2.Bölgemiz koşullarında, pamuk hasadından sonra, tek yıllık olması nedeniyle, yem bezelyesinin iyi bir münavebe bitkisi olabileceği söylenebilir.
