Abstract

Edirne Bulgaristan ve Yunanistan'la sınırı olan Türkiye'nin batısındaki bir şehirdir. Bu kent ayrıca Osmanlı devletinin 90 yıldan fazla başkentliğini yapmış bir kenttir. Şehir İstanbul'un fethinden sonra bu özelliğini kaybetmiştir. Saray-ı Cedid olarak da adlandırılan Yeni Saray Edirne'deki en önemli yapılardan biridir. Bu saray Eski sarayın yetersiz kalması sonrası inşa edilmiştir. Saray şehrin kuzeyinde Tunca Nehri'nin batısında kurulmuştur. Bu saray 16. ve 17. yüzyıllarda en parlak dönemini yaşamıştır. 18. yüzyılın ilk yarısından sonra sultanların saraya olan ilgisi azalmıştır. 1877-1878 Osmanlı-Rus Savaşı sırasında saray çok büyük zarar görerek kullanılamaz hale gelmiştir. Edirne Yeni Saray'daki ilk kazılar 1950li yıllarda Tahsin Öz tarafından başlatılmıştır Kazılar günümüzde Mustafa Özer tarafından devam ettirilmektedir. Bu kazılar sırasında farklı tekniklerde seramikler ele geçirilmiştir.Bu çalışmanın konusunu başkanlığını Mustafa Özer'in yaptığı Edirne Yeni Saray Kazısı'nda bulunan sırlı ve sırsız seramikler oluşturmaktadır. Anadolu'daki birçok kentte olduğu gibi Edirne Yeni Saray kazılarında ortaçağ sonrasına ait bir çok seramik ele geçirilmiştir. Bu seramikler içerisinde tabaklar, çanaklar, kaseler, fincanlar, testiler, şamdanlar kandiller ve kapaklar yer almaktadır Bu çalışma sırasında seramikler öncelikle beyaz ve kırmızı hamurlu olmak üzere iki farklı grup altında değerlendirilmiştir Bu seramikler hamur, biçim bezeme ve motif özellikleri dikkate alınarak ayrıntılı biçimde değerlendirilmiştir

Edirne is a city in the westernmost part of Turkey, close to the borders with Greece and Bulgaria. City of Edirne was the Capital city of State of Ottoman more than ninety years. After the conquest of Istanbul, Edirne has lost this feature. The Yeni Saray was the most important building in Edirne which has named Saray-ı Cedid. It has been built after Eski Saray (Saray-ı Atik). Yeni saray was established in North of the City and West of the Tunca. Yeni Saray was lived the most brillant period between 16th and 17th centuries. Sultan's were not interested in Yeni saray after the first half of the 18th century Yeni Saray was completely destroyed between Ottoman and Russia War (1877-1878)The first excavations were started by Tahsin Öz in the Yeni Saray in Edirne in the 1950s. Excavation is continued today by Mustafa Ozer. This study investigates glazed and unglazed ceramics in Edirne Yeni Saray, which were found by the excavation study under the leadership of Mustafa Özer.As with many Anatolian city centres, many glazed and unglazed items of various techniques and styles recovered from Yeni Saray have been attributed to the after Middle Age. During the excavations have been found samples, produced in various techniques. The ceramic findings consists of plates, bowls, bowls, cups, jugs, candlesticks, lamps.
