Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is one of the most widely produced and consumed vegetables in the world and Turkey. Due to this high agricultural importance, breeding studies are carried out in the tomato plant for various purposes. Increasing the tomato fruit quality is one of the major breeding purposes which includes reducing the morphological damage of fruit. Fruit cracking is one of the major problems in tomatoes. This study was carried out to reveal the correlation among fruit cracking with other fruit morphological traits such as fruit size, fruit max/min-width, fruit weight, and fruit firmness. This study includes the five hundred ninety-three different standard type hybrid combinations from Syngenta company and three different control hybrids were distributed randomly inside each line and then cracking evaluation with fruit morphological traits were done in the greenhouse of the Syngenta company, located in the Gaziler trial station, between December 2020-May 2021. Data collection, throughout the cultivation process, was completed on all fruits obtained in a standard way during four harvests, and all of the data average values were calculated, and also the fruit cracking indexes were calculated of five hundred ninety-three hybrid combinations. And then, correlation analysis was completed with the data obtained from other fruit morphological characteristics and fruit cracking indexes with the SPSS statistics program. In addition, temperature value and relative humidity data were additionally collected for the greenhouse, which is known to be associated with cracking during the growing period. After the entire data collection process was completed, one hundred nineteen hybrid combinations were classified as no cracking during fruit growth and development, while the remaining four hundred seventy-four tomato hybrid combinations cracked at different rates, and as a result of the correlation analysis was exhibited, the maximum fruit width, minimum fruit width, and fruit weight have a positive correlation between the fruit cracking index. In addition, it was concluded that the differences in temperature between day and night and relative humidity which increase the cracking pressure on the varieties differ in line with the effect of the season in the greenhouse. In line with the data obtained as a result of the study, it has been concluded that one hundred nineteen hybrid combinations with high crack tolerance will achieve high success in the next breeding program with the high-quality fruit characteristics of these hybrid combinations due to the effect of their genetic characteristics and high tolerance in adverse environmental conditions. Also, the result of the experiment with the comparison between control hybrids and hybrid combinations of “SYN246, SYN605, SYN146, SYN253, and SYN109” were defined as promising F1 hybrid cultivars for the related season.
