Laboratuar koşullarında Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) ile beslenen Propylea quatuordecimpunctata (L.) (Coleoptera:Coccinellidae)`nın bazı biyolojik özellikleri üzerinde araştırmalar

Abstract

Besin tüketimlerine dönemsel bakıldığında, birinci larva döneminde ortalama 20,85 A. pisum bireyi, ikinci larva döneminde ortalama 19,67 birey, üçüncü larva döneminde ortalama 26,78 birey, dördüncü larva dönemi süresince ortalama 41,35 birey tükettikleri hesaplanmıştır. Ergin bireyler, ömrünü tamamlayana kadar ortalama 870,00 A. pisum bireyini tüketmiştir. Günlük olarak tüketimlere bakıldığında, P. quatuordecimpunctata'nın larva dönemlerinde tükettikleri günlük A. pisum miktarının yapılan sayımlar sonucunda ortalama 16 adet (13-20) olduğu, ömrü boyunca ise 22 (19-24) adet birey olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Coccinellidae family have great importance in terms of biological control. In this study, the commonly encountered aphid predator Propylea quatuordecimpunctata (L.) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae)?s daily prey consumption rate and its biological features are investigated, and obtained various information about efficacy of this predator. Mass production of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) as prey was carried on Vicia faba and trials were conducted under controlled temperature 23±1 0C, % 65±5 relative humidity and 16:8(Light:Dark) photoperiod conditions. Trials are carried out with 28 replications. According to study, it?s achieved that average development period for larval stage is 6,75 days and with 2,17 days, fourth larval stage is found to be the longest with 2,17 days. Average development period for Preadult (Eggs, different larval stages, pre-pupae and pupae) were 14,82 days. Average stages depended A. pisum consumptions of first, second, third and forth larval stages of predators were found as 20,85 ? 19,67 ? 26,78 and 41,35 respectively. Adult stages feed total of 870 A. pissum individuals in an average lifespan. As a result of the study in order to observe P. quatuordecimpunctata?s daily consumption rate, it?s found that an individual feeds 16 (13-20) A. pisum individuals during the larval stage and 22 (19-24) in a lifespan, averagely.
