Batı Karadeniz Nehir Havzası`nın Plecoptera (Arthropoda: Insecta) faunası

Abstract

Within this thesis, benthic samples which have been collected from 24 different locations of Black Sea River Basin have been studied and Plecoptera members were determined in 14 of the stations. Life circle of Plecoptera species is consist of two stages as nymph and adult. It's possible to identify these insects during both of the stages. For this thesis, nymphes have been studied. To collect the nymphes which live in the benthic zone, D frame net has been used and benthos have been annoyed by hand and kicking to let them swim with the current towards the net. It has been figured out that temperature, altitude and dissolved oxygen have high impact levels on distribution of the animals,Totally 12 species and 1 subspecies have been determined which are members of Nemouridae, Leuctridae, Perlodidae, Perlidae, Chloroperlidae families. Each of Leuctra collaris and Perla pallidae has been sampled from 4 different locations and it makes them the two most widespread ones of the 13 species.
