Çamaltı tuzlasında dağılım gösteren artemia (Artemia parthenogenetica) zooplanktonunun akuakültür potansiyelinin araştırılması

Abstract

Artemia sp. is one of the most important organisms in salt ecosystem, in the evaporation pools established for the salt production in the sea coast. In a natural habitat, Artemia parthenogenetica produces floating cysts surrounded by hard shells at certain stages of the year. Salt is the chemical most relevant to the history of the world's most famous minerals and human civilization. However, the development of a unique saline ecosystem parallel to the salt production process has not been fully understood. The biological process that develops together with increased salinity gradients in evaporative pools and crystallizers of salinators produces excellent food for birds for many reasons.Salts are a system made up of pools of various sizes, which were established to utilize the sunlight to evaporate sea water and produce salt. Çamaltı Salt Lake is located on a flat part of the bay at a distance of 28 km from Izmir Karşıyaka. In this thesis, Artemia parthenogenetica cysts were collected from Çamaltı Saltworks and production of live biomass, the establishment of the the first of the Artemia production company in Turkey.
