Abstract

Koruyucu giysiler kişinin çeşitli tehlikelerden korunmasını sağlamak ve/veya bu riski azaltmak için giyilen giysilerdir. İtfayeci giysileri, kaynakçılar için erimiş metallere karşı koruma giysileri, kurşun geçirmez yelekler vb. için ısı ve radyasyona karşı koruma yüksek performanslı liflerden yapılmış teknik tekstiller ile sağlanmaktadır. Kurşun geçirmez yeleklerde yüksek mukavemete, yüksek ısı dayanımına ve düşük çekme özelliğine sahip özel bir lif olan aramidler kullanılmaktadır. Güç tutuşur yeleklerde yüksek mukavemet, kimyasal ve alev dayanımı nedeniyle cam lifleri de kullanılmaktadır. Uygulama alanına bağlı olarak, koruyucu giysiler kimyasal veya biyolojik materyaller, alev ve ısı kaynakları, elektrostatik boşalmalar ve elektromanyetik radyasyonlardan zarar görme riskini azaltmalı ve çeşitli alanlarda çalışan kişileri (laboratuvarlarda, tıbbi kuruluşlar ve zararlı madde içeren ortamlarda), itfayecileri, polis ve askeri personeli mermi ve bıçak gibi silahlardan korumalıdır. Koruyucu giysiler aynı zamanda uzaya giderken astranotlar tarafından kullanılmaktadır. Astranotların elbiseleri onları güneşin ısısından koruyacak özel bir kimyasalla kaplanmaktadır. Yalnızca elbiseleri özel liflerden yapılmakla kalmamakta, aynı zamanda uzay gemilerinin içi de özel bir kumaşla kaplanmaktadır

Protective clothes are the clothes used to protect the people from various dangers and/or reduce this damaging risk. Protection against heat and radiation for fire fighter clothing, against molten metals for welders, for bullet proof jackets etc, all these thinks are obtained by the usage of technical textiles with high performance fibers. In bullet proof jackets, special fiber aramid is used which have high tenacity, high thermal resistance and low shrinkage. Glass fiber is also used in fire proof jackets due to its high strength, chemical and flame resistance. Depending on the specific application, protective clothes must reduce the risks of exposure to chemical or biological materials, flame and heat sources, or electrostatic discharges and electromagnetic radiation and protect a variety of workers (in laboratories, medical establishments or environments containing hazardous materials), firefighters, police and military personnel from weapons, such as bullets and knives. Protective clothing is also used by the astronauts when they go in space. Their suits where covered with special chemicals including lead to protect them from suns heat, their suit not only made from special fibers but their airship was also lined with special fabric
