Abstract

Bu doktora tezi iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, ITOyüzeyinde Kendiliğinden Organize Tekkatman (SAM) oluşturma özelliği gösteren 13 yeni organik bilesik sentezlenmis ve bunlardan yedisinin (7) organik ısık yayan diyot (OLED) uygulamaları yapılmıştır. OLED uygulamalarında boşluk iletimtabakası olarak kullanılan PEDOT:PSS'in yerine kullanılan SAM molekülleri, hidrofilik özellik gösteren ve pürüzlü ITO yüzeyine, kimyasal olarak bağlandığında, yüzeyi hidrofobik ve daha pürüzsüz hale dönüştürdüğü döngüsel voltammetri (CV) tekniği ve atomik kuvvet mikroskobu (AFM) kullanılarak tespitedilmiştir.Tezin ikinci bölümünde ise boyar maddeli fotovoltaik hücre (DSSC)uygulamalarında kullanılmak amacıyla altı tane donör-akseptör tipi organik yarıiletken bileşik sentezlenmiştir.

The thesis consists of two parts. In the first part, thirteen organic compounds which could form Self-Assembled Monolayer (SAM) on Indium Tin Oxide (ITO)surface have been synthesized and seven of them have been used as alternative to PEDOT:PSS in Organic Light Emitting Diode ( OLED) applications. It isdetermined by using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and atomic force microscopy(AFM) that the synthesized molecules have been adsorbed chemically to the hydrophilic and rough ITO surface and formed a new hydrophobic and smoother surface of ITO by the effect of SAM formation. In the second part of the thesis, six donor-acceptor type organic semiconductor materials have been synthesized for dye sensitized solar cell(DSSC) applications.
