Hasan Ali Toptaş`ın eserlerinde hegemonik erkeklik karşısında tutunamayan erkeklik

Abstract

Social gender roles are frequently discussed from the beginning of our novelism and storytelling. Ideal masculine and feminine perceptions, the problems experienced by individuals and society due to not fitting these perceptions, and suggestions to avoid these problems have been analyzed frequently from Tanzimat Literature until today. This study traces the current novel and story writer Hasan Ali Toptaş's perception of hegemonic masculinity in his narrative world and the characters who have difficulty in complying with this perception and thus have some problems in life. The problems of these traced characters, their attitudes towards these problems and the results of these attitudes are the focus of our study. Keywords: Hasan Ali Toptaş, Hegemonic Masculinity, Masculinity, Novel, Story, Gender.
