Mezopotamya kaynaklarına göre dilmun ülkesi

Abstract

SUMMARYIn our thesis, we gave information about the land of Dilmun by adhering to the Mesopotamian resources. In particular, we tried to investigate the commercial activities of Dilmun and its relations with Mesopotamia. At the same time, we had the chance to look at the commercial life of Mesopotamia from another perspective. It was not known how Mesopotamia communicated with overseas countries while it was generally known for its trade links with Iran and Anatolia. But since Mesopotamia was located in a limited area in terms of natural resources, it also used sea routes to access the resources of the surrounding countries. In this thesis, we examined how Dilmun mediated between these overseas countries and Mesopotamia. On the other hand, we have compared the legendary Dilmun in the Mesopotamian poems and Dilmun which is an intense commercial activity. As a summary, Dilmun, both literary and commercial documents in the light of the sources written in the view of the sources have transferred.
