Erken Demirçağ Karia Bölgesi nekropolisleri

Abstract

The geographical region, which is known as the Karia Region located on the southwestern coast of Anatolia is a demonstrated of how rich and important the region is in the cultural and artistic direction with the concrete evidence that it produces in its Western Anatolian civilizations in antiquity at the first millennium BC. The examination of the necropolis areas within this cultural richness is remarkable, to the extent that it can not be overlooked. When it is examined as Protogeometric Period and Geometric Period in Karian Region, the changes that periodical differences bring about have been observed at the Early Iron Age necropolis areas. Because of the inadequacy of systematic archaeological excavations of similar tombs during the period that constituted our work and the distribution of the works in various ways, it also shows the significance of the work involved in illuminating the political, social, economic and cultural structure of the community that has lived in this region in the past and the Karia Region.
