Andrei Zvyagintsev filmlerinde iktidarın temsili olarak otorite ve hegemonik erkeklik

Authority and hegemonic masculinity as representation of power in the films of Andrei Zvyagintsev

Andrei Zvyagintsev filmlerinde iktidarın temsili olarak otorite ve hegemonik erkeklik

Abstract

1970'li yıllarla birlikte gelişen Erkeklik Çalışmaları içinde Raewyn Connell tarafından geliştirilen `hegemonik erkeklik` kavramı, toplumsal cinsiyet yapılanması ile sağlanan iktidar ilişkilerini analiz etmekte kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda kültürel süreçlerde belirlenen hegemonik değerlerin bütünlüklü hali, sinema filmlerindeki temsillerde görülmekte ve söz konusu değerler bu yolla yeniden üretilmektedir. Üstyapı kurumları aracılığı ile desteklenen hegemonik erkeklik değerleri, kadınların ikincil konumlarını pekiştirmekte ve erkekler arası hiyerarşiye neden olmakta; böylece her seferinde yeniden üretilen erkeklik ve kadınlık kimlikleri nedeniyle toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliği devam etmektedir.Rusya tarihi özelinde Ekim Devrimi ile birlikte geliştirilmek istenen cinsiyetler arası eşitlik fikri, siyasal hareketlerin etkisiyle tarih boyunca sürekli değişmiş, günümüz Rusya'sında ise güçlü, milliyetçi ve ahlaklı erkek kahramanların hegemonikleştiği görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada, son dönem Rusya Sineması'nın önemli yönetmenlerinden Andrei Zvyagintsev tarafından çekilen dört film (Dönüş-2003, Sürgün-2007, Elena-2011, Leviathan-2014) bağlamında, Rusya'daki erkeklik kimliklerinin hegemonikleşme süreci incelenmiş ve filmlerdeki toplumsal cinsiyet temsilleri aracılığıyla erkeklik kimlikleri, otorite ve hegemonya kavramları çerçevesinde eleştirilmiştir.

The concept of `hegemonic masculinity` worked up by Raewyn Connell within the advancing studies of masculinity in 1970's, has been used for analysing power relations ensured by social gender formation. Accordingly, the complete state of hegemonic values defined with cultural processes have been seen in the stage plays of cinema films, and the values in question have been reproduced. Hegemonic masculinity values supported by superstructure institutions consolidate the secondary state of women and lead to inter-men hierarchy. Thus, gender inequality resulted from masculinity and femininity identities reproduced at every turn has been in progress. Specific to Russian history, the idea of gender equality to be requested with the October Revolution has changed constantly under the effect of political movements; and strong, nationalist and moral men heroes have become hegemonic in today's Russia. In this study, within the context of the four films shot by Andrei Zvygaintsev, one of the most remarkable directors of last period Russian cinema, (Dönüş-2003, Sürgün-2007, Elena-2011, Leviathan-2014), the process of becoming hegemonic of the masculine identities in Russia is analysed and the concepts of masculine identities by means of the representations of social gender in the films are criticized within the scope authority and hegemony.
