New production methods in manufacturing industries are applied by rapidly developing technology. One of these methods is using ultrasonic energy in apparel industries. In this paper; the working principles of sewing machines that use ultrasonic energy, the sewing styles with this machines, using areas and the advantages of this machines will be mentioned alternately. Different fabric types were joined by using different types of roller surface. Using different rollers will bring out differences in sewing strength. The sewing strengths of different fabrics and different rollers are compared with each others, with (one of clasical methods) lock stitch strengths and with fabric tensile strengths. As a result; ultrasonic welding has more advantages than the other joining methods in maintenances of process time and strength.
