Abstract

Üç kısımdan oluşan bu tez oksijen köprülü benzimidazolyum bromürlerin sentezi ve katalitik özellikleriyle ilgilidir. İlk kısım benzimidazollere ait temel bilgileri, önemi ve kullanılımları içeren kısa bir derlemedir. İkinci kısımda deneysel veriler ayrıntılı bir biçimde açıklanmıştır. Üçüncü kısım oksijen köprülü benzimidazolyum tuzlarının sentezi, yapı aydınlatılması ve eşleşme (Heck, C-C eşleşme) tepkimelerindeki katalitik aktivitelerinin incelenmesini kapsamaktadır. Bu çalışmada seri halinde bir, iki ve üç oksijen içeren köprülü 15 adet yeni bibenzimdazolyum tuzları (Ia-c; IIa-c; IIIa-c; IRa,c; IIRa,c ve IIIRa,c) sentezlenmiştir.Sentezlenen tuz serilerinin yapılarının aydınlatılmasından sonra (1H, 13C, HMQC, HMBC NMR) tüm tuzların Pd(OAc)2 varlığında Heck eşleşme tepkimelerindeki katalitik aktiviteleri araştırılmıştır. This thesis is related with oxygen bridged benzimidazolium and consists of three parts. The first part is a concise review about benzimidazoles and their importance and usage. In part two the experimental details were given. Part three covers the synthesis, characterisation, and in situ catalytic activities of oxygen bridged benzimidazolium salts for Heck, C-C coupling. In this study, three series of mono, di- and tri oxygen bridged benzimidazolium bromides (Ia-c; IIa-c; IIIa-c; IRa,c; IIRa,c and IIIRa,c) were prepared.After characterisation by spectroscopic methods (1H, 13C , HMQC, HMBC NMR), catalytic activities of all the related salts in the presence of Pd(OAc)2 for Heck reactions were examined. The best catalytic activity was observed the compound IIIRc.Keywords: Benzimidazoles, benzimidazolium salts, catalytic activities
