R134a ve R600a soğutucu akışkanlı ev tipi buzdolaplarında ekserji analizi

Abstract

In evaluating the efficiency of refrigeration systems, the mostcommonly used measure is the energy (or first law) efficiency, which ismodified to a coefficient of performance (COP) for refrigeration systems. However, for indicating the possibilities for thermodynamic improvement, energy analysis is inadequate and exergy analysis is needed. This studypresents an exergy analysis of household refrigerators using refrigerantsR134a and R600a aimed at identifying improvement potential. In theanalysis. actual operational data are used. The exergy destructions in each ofthe components of the overall system are determined for average values ofexperimentally measured parameters. Exergy efficiencies of the systemcomponents are determined to assess their performances and to elucidatepotentials for improvement. COP values for the household refrigeratorsstudied are found to vary from 1.20 to 1.40 while corresponding exergyefficiency values are found to range between 80.6 % and 87.7 % on aproduct/fuel basis. In this study, superheating heat exchanger has very lowefficiency with refrigerant R134a and R600a systems and refrigerator R600ais used to produce household refrigerator with high efficieny.Key words: Exergy analysis, refrigerant, refrigerator, efficiency, energy
