Abstract

V ÖZET OLED (ORGANIC LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE) HAZHILANIŞI YEŞİLYURT, Umut Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Tez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Sıddık îçli Kasım 2005, 73 sayfa Bu tezde, ince film teknolojisi kullanılarak organik ışık yayan diyot hazırlanışının nasıl yapılabileceği üzerine bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Organik ışık yayan diyot (OLED), yeni bir teknoloji olmasına karşın tüm dünyada hızla yayılan bir kullanım boyutuna sahip olması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Çalışmada, bir çok OLED üretim yöntemi içinde en çok kullanılan vakum kaplama, devirli kaplama ve daldırma kaplama teknikleri üzerinde durulmuş, bu yöntemlerle elde edilebilecek cihazların verimini arttırabilecek ve ömrünü uzatabilecek uygulamalar mcelenmiştir. Vakum kaplama yöntemi kullanılarak, bir OLED hazırlama denemesi yapılmış, uygun ortamda uygulanamaması ve yetersiz teçhizat sebebiyle başarısız olan bu deneyimin sonucuna elde edilen bilgilerle, başarılı bir OLED yapımı için sağlanması gereken şartlar irdelenmiştir. VII ABSTRACT OLED (ORGANIC LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE) PREPARATION YEŞİLYURT, Umut MSc in Natural and Applied Sciences Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Sıddık îçli November 2005, 73 sayfa In this thesis, a study has been made on how to prepare an organic light-emitting diode. Although it is quite a new application, organic light-emitting diode (OLED) is an important item to be considered since it is fastly being in use all around the world. The most widely used ones amongst various methods, vacuum coating, spin coating and dip coating techniques are considered here, where the applications related to the performance of the OLEDs and the measures to be taken to prolong their lifetimes has been studied. An attempt has been made to prepare an OLED using the vacuum deposition technique, which was not successful due to the lack of suitable facilities and equipment, and, in the light of the experience acquired, the conditions required for success in preparing an OLED was discussed.
