Abstract

ÖZET PAMUK VE POLİESTER / PAMUK KARIŞIMLI KUMAŞLARDA ANTİBAKTERİYAL BİTİM İŞLEMLERİ ALAY, M. Kıvanç Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Tekstil Mühendisliği Bölümü Tez Yöneticisi: Doç. Dr. Tülin ÖKTEM Şubat 2002, 122 sayfa Antimikrobiyal bitim işlemleri insanların gelir ve bilinç düzeyinin artmasıyla özellikle son yıllarda daha önemli hale gelmiştir. Antimikrobiyal bitim işlemleri için en önemli özellik yıkamaya karşı dayanıklı olmasıdır. Çalışmamız esas olarak iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde klasik metoda göre uygulanabilen antimikrobiyal ürün, migrasyona uğramaması nedeniyle insan tenine geçmeyen yeni bir ürün ve ev tipi çamaşır yıkamalarında kullanılan bir ürünle etkileri ve kalıcılığı açısından karşılaştırılmıştır. İkincisi ise son yıllarda adından çok bahsedilen, tekstil uygulamalarında çok yeni olan bir chitosan bileşiği kullanılarak bunun antimikrobiyal etkileri araştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla; birinci bölümde %100 pamuk, poliester/pamuk (50:50) ve modal kumaşlar emdirme-kurutma metodu kullanılarak işleme sokulmuştur. Chitosan ile çalışmalarda emdirme-kurutma-buharlama metodu kullanılmıştır. îşlem görmüş kumaşların antibakteriyal aktiviteleri Staphylococcus aureus ve Esherichia coli karşısında inhibisyon zon çaplarının ölçülmesi, Klebsiella pneumoniae koloni sayısının belirlenmesi ve bileşiklerin yıkamaya dayanıklılığının ölçülmesi ile test edilmiştir. VII ABSTRACT ANTIBACTERIAL FINISHING FOR COTTON AND POLYESTER / COTTON BLEND FABRICS ALAY, M. Kıvanç MSc in Textile Eng. Supervisor: Assoc. Prof.Dr. Tülin ÖKTEM February 2002, 122 pages One of the most important points for antimicrobial finishing is the durabiltiy against to repeated laundry. Especially, antimicrobial finishing recently attract more importance due to human's consciousness and high in come level. Basicly, our study can be divided into two section. In the first section; antimicrobial product treated by classical methods is compared with unmigrated new product able pass through the body tann and typical products laundered at home in terms of effectiveness and permanenty. In the second section; it is searched the antimicrobial effect of chitosan that is recently new popular product in textile industry. For this purpose; % 100 cotton fabrics, 50/50 polyester/cotton blend fabrics and modal fabrics are terated with three antimicrobial ajans using pad-dry method. In fabrics treated with chitosan, pad-dry-cure method is used. Antibacterial activity of traeted fabrics are recorded by measuring the diameter of inhibition zone against the Staphylococcus aureus and Esherichia coll measuring the number of Klebsiella pneumoniae colonies and measured laundrying durabilty of the finishes.
