Abstract

ÖZET KOMPOZİT PLAKALARIN SONLU ELEMANLAR METODU İLE DARBE ANALİZİ AKAY, Galip Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Makine Mühendisliği Bölümü Tez Yöneticisi: Yrd. Doç. Dr. Hasan YILDIZ Eylül 2005, 81 Sayfa Deneysel ve nümerik olarak yürütülen bu tezin amacı, kompozit plakaların darbe davranışlarını ve darbeden sonraki mukavemet değişimlerim incelemektir. Kompozit plakalar, metallerde olduğu gibi, her doğrultuda aynı mekanik özellikler göstermediğinden, darbe mekanizmasına verdiği cevapta çok karışıktır. Uygulamada kompozit plakanın düzlem dışı darbeye karşı olan cevabı kesin olarak bilinmesi istenir. Bu anlamda elimizdeki veriler ANSYS programı ile analiz edilerek deneysel sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada uygulamalı olarak, kompozit plakalar üretildi. Bu plakalardan numuneler kesilerek, mekanik özelliklerini araştırmak için çekme deneyi ve ağırlık düşürme deneyleri yapılmıştır. Ayrıca darbeye maruz numuneler üzerinde çekme deneyini tekrarlayarak, hasarlı malzemenin mukavemetinin değişimi incelenmiştir. Bu tez sırasında kullanılan bazı araç ve gereçlerin (sıcak pres, kompozit plaka kalıbı, üç nokta eğme aparatı, epoksi havuzu ve ağırlık düşürme deney cihazı) imalatı ve devreye alınması gerçekleştirilmiştir. vn ABSTRACT IMPACT ANALYSES WITH FINITE ELEMENT METHOD OF LAMINATED COMPOSITE PLATES AKAY, Galip MSc. Thesis in Mechanical Engineering Supervisor: As. Prof. Hasan YILDIZ, PhD. September 2005, 81 Pages The aim of this thesis is to study impact behavior and after impact properties of larninated composite plates experimentally and numerically. Impact behavior of larninated composite plates is so difficult to understand and to predict mechanical properties, because they don't show same mechanical properties at every direction as metals. In use, it is needed to know that response to out of plane impact, keenly. For that reason, experimental data are compared with numerical results. In this applied study, laminated composite plates are produced. The specimens were cut from these composite plates to research mechanical properties for using tensile and impact tests. Also, the impacted specimens are tested in tensile experiment to understand strength change. During this thesis, some of the apparatus and machines, (hot press, composite plate mold, three point bending jigs, epoxy pool and weight drop impact tester) are manufactured and installed.
