Abstract

VII ÖZET ALTIN KAPLI MİKA KOLONUNDA CİVANIN ÖNDERİŞTİRİLMESİ VE ÖNDERİŞTİRME KOŞULLARININ ARAŞTIRILMASI Ahmet GÜRAY Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Kimya Anabilim Dalı Tez yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Hüseyin TURAL Eylül 2004, 52 sayfa Civanın duyar ölçülme tekniklerinden biri de soğuk buhar AAS tekniğidir. Bu teknikler civanın bir amalgamatörde önderiştirilmesini ve sonra ısıl yol ile buharlaştınlan civanın atomik soğurumunun saptanmasını içerir. Amalgamator olarak, altm kaplanmış platin örgü, altın kaplanmış silikatlar, altın kaplanmış grafit tüp, altm kaplanmış seramik tüp, altm kaplanmış cam disk, altın kaplanmış asbest, altm örgü kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada amalgamator olarak değişik bir malzeme kullanıldı. Bu malzeme muskovit plakalarıdır. Muskovit doğada bol miktarda ve oldukça saf olarak bulunan bir mineral çeşididir ve potasyum mikası olarak da adlandırılır. Bu plakalar öğütücüde öğütüldü ve 100.0 meş üstündeki büyüklükteki taneciklerin yüzeyi organik çözgende çözünmüş altm çözeltisiyle işleme sokulduktan sonra ısıl yolla kloroaurik asit altma dönüştürülerek altm kaplama oluşturuldu. Daha sonra, altınla kaplı muskovit tanecikleriyle iç çapı 6.0 mm olan önü ve arkası cam yünüyle sıkıştırılmış bir pyrex boruya doldurularak bir amalgamatör oluşturuldu. Bu amalgamatörle, civaya ait maksimum atomikvm soğurum elde etmek için; sıcaklık, tepkime süresi ve gaz hızlan optimize edildi. Optimum koşullarda kalibrasyon grafiği oluşturuldu ve kalibrasyon grafiğinin regrasyon katsayısı 0.9996 olarak bulundu. Altınla kaplanmış muskovit kolonu için belirtme alt sının 0.285 ppb Hg2+ (285.0 ppt Hg2+) ve 10.0 ng mi`1 Hg2+ için bağıl standart sapma ± %5.11 olarak bulundu. DC ABSTRACT MERCURY PRECONCENTRATION ON GOLD COATED MICA COLUMN AND INVESTIGATION OF PRECONCENTRATION CONDITIONS GURAY, Ahmet MSc Thesis in Chemistry Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Hüseyin TURAL September 2004, 52 pages Cold Vapor AAS technique is a kind of sensitive mercury determination techniques. This technique includes preconcentration of mercury on to an amalgamator and then determination of the atomic absorption of thermally vaporized mercury. Gold coated platinum gauze, gold coated silicates, gold coated graphite tube, gold coated ceramic tube; gold coated asbestos, gold coated fritted glass disk and gold wire were used as amalgamator. In this study, a different material, muscovite plate was used as an amalgator. Muscovite is a kind.of pure mineral that is found in nature and is called potassium mica. These plates were grounded in the cyclic mortar and gold coating was formed on surface of the top of 100.0 mesh size particles. These particles were inserted in gold solution that dissolved in organic solvent and then chloroauric acid transformed into metallic gold with thermal way.X After that, amalgamator was formed with gold coated muscovite particles filling in the glass-wool plugged back and front pyrex tube (i.d.6.0 mm). Temperature, reaction time and gas flow rate were optimized to obtain maximum absorbance for mercury with this amalgamator. Calibration graph was constituted at optimum conditions. Regression coefficient of calibration graph was found as 0.9996. Detection limit of gold coated muscovite column was calculated as 0.285 ppb Hg2+ (285.0 ppt Hg ) and relative standard deviation was found as ± 5.11% for 10.0 ng ml^Hg2`1`. It is observed that the usage of the same amalgamator continued after used for 70 times. Key Words: Mica, amalgamation, preconcentration, mercury.
