Abstract

Adopting an expansionist policy towards Caucasia, Russia displaced the people living in the area forcefully to establish its dominion in the area after the Crimean War. The people began to move to Anatolia from Caucasia. The groups of people who moved to Anatolia were settled systematically in certain parts of Anatolia by the Ottoman Empire. One of these places the immigrants were settled in was Sanliurfa. In this study, the aids provided to the refugees coming from Caucasia to Anatolia after Crimean War by the inhabitats of Sanliurfa are investigated on the basis of those who settled in Sanlıurfa
