The discordance in weight between twins pairs is one of the most important complications of the twin’s pregnancy, due to its elevated incidence and high degree of perinatal mortality. Aim - To study the influence of the weight differences between the first and second newborn twin in the perinatal results. Subjects and Methods – The weight of the twins born at the Maternity of Hospital Regional de Sorocaba, SP, was analyzed retrospectively from July 1997 to June 1998.
