Abstract

During the execution of any labor activity, diverse positions are adopted in order to execute the requested task as better as possible. It was observed that, despite the advances of the technology, many activities have been manually done and, sometimes, the loads that are handled and put into motion by the man go beyond the permissible limits and require inadequate positions. The objective of this study is evaluating and comparing the vertical reaction forces of the ground caused by trunk movements (flexing, extension and rotation), commonly done during labor activity, in function of the variations of the centers of mass of individuals without and with load variation. The sample was composed of six (6) individuals, all of the masculine sex, who are Physical Education students. For accomplishment of the experiment, it was used threedimensional cinemetry technique and two plates of force. The first was used to determination of the center of mass and the second was used to measure the vertical reaction forces of the ground. From the gotten results which can be concluded that changes in the reaction forces tend to modify the center of mass position, and this tend to dislocated in the direction of the movement. Therefore, the combination of the technique of cinemetry with measurement of force of reaction of the ground serves to analyze the dynamic stability of the position during the labor activity. KEYWORDS: Force of vertical reaction of the ground, Center of mass, Ergonomics.
