Histopatologia do intestino de Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum (Osteichthyes, Pimelodidae) parasitados com cestodas proteocefalí­­deos e Nematodas

Abstract

Neste trabalho foi descrita a histopatologia da parede intestinal de Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum parasitado por endohelmintos. Dezenove peixes capturados no Rio Aquidauana, MS, em outubro de 2005, foram necropsiados, e o trato intestinal fixado em solução AFA por 12 h. Posteriormente, as amostras foram imersas em formol 10% tamponado e, após 24 h, substituiu-se formol por álcool 70%. O estudo de cortes histológicos feitos com espessura de 5 µm e corados com hematoxilina-eosina (HE) revelaram, na camada muscular da parede intestinal, estruturas que se assemelhavam a helmintos circundadas por uma cápsula de tecido conectivo com diferentes graus de fibroplasia. Necroses focais das vilosidades e da submucosa, hiperplasia de células caliciformes e estruturas semelhantes a helmintos cortados transversalmente estavam presentes no lúmen. Além disso, havia descamação discreta da mucosa, sempre na lí­¢mina própria, associada ao espessamento da membrana basal.
