Proteômica do fluido folicular ovariano de ovelhas

Abstract

The interaction that exists between the follicular fluid and the oocyte serves to maintain it and contribute to oocyte development. The objective of this study was to describe the protein profile of the ovarian follicular fluid of sheep in two categories of follicle development. The ovaries were harvested from a slaughterhouse and transported to the laboratory. In the laboratory, the ovaries were washed with 0.9% NaCl solution, the follicles were measured and classified into two categories, small follicles with a diameter of 50%. In the VIP score were found 12 proteins with α  1.5, being 2 more abundant in follicles with diameter < 4 mm and 10 in follicles between 4 and 6 mm. It was concluded that the proteins are directly linked to the functioning of the follicular metabolism and development of the oocytes, participating in the ovulation process and oocyte quality.
