Desenvolvimento de Sensores Eletroquímicos para a Detecção de Metais Pesados

Abstract

This work presents for the first time the characterization and application of a nanocomposite based on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) modified with antimonium nanoparticles (SbNPs) in the stripping analysis of Cd2+, Pb2+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ in drinking water samples. The nanocomposite was easy synthesized by a chemical reduction method using sodium borohydride as the reductant agent. The experiments investigated the remarkable rGO electronic properties with the synergetic combination of metallic SbNPs. The results showed that the GC/rGO-SbNPs electrode selective detected the heavy metal ions (HMs) with high sensitivity, regarding the standards of potable drinking water in Brazil. Under optimal conditions the proposed electrode showed good linear relationship with the concentration of Cd2+, Pb2+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ ranging from 0.1 to 4.5 µmol L-1 . The detection limits for individual determination of these ions were: 7,7 (Cd2+), 3,0 (Pb2+), 4,7 (Cu2+) and 9,6 (Hg2+) nmol L-1 .This work presents an analysis of the properties of the nanocomposite rGO-SbNPs in the analysis of HMs by square wave anodic voltammetry (SWASV), as well as a new approach for in situ analysis of these metals
