Abstract

Comparative and exploratory studies with different formulations became necessary to the correct establishment of the tank mix, considerate a usual practice to every farmer nowadays. Thus, the study of droplet spectrum can also provide relevant information and help to develop this technology area. Therefore, the aim of this work was to analyze droplet spectra and drift generated by the application of different herbicide formulations. The research was realized in Fazenda Experimental Lageado of Faculdade de Ciências Agronômicas – UNESP, em Botucatu – SP, in Laboratório de Máquinas para Pulverização do Núcleo de Ensaio de Máquinas e Pneus Agrícolas (NEMPA). The treatments definition has been made with the formation of 12 pesticides of national scenario, of 3 different types of formulation (EC, SC and WG). The tests with application was realized simulating an application rate of 50l.ha-1, with flat fan nozzles, model Teejet XR 8003VS, with operation pressure of 300 kPa (3 bar). The analysis of each treatment was used a real-time particle analyser VisiSize P-15, and the parameters measured was Volumetric Median Diameter (VMD), Relative amplitude (RA), the percentage of droplets lower than 100 μm. The drift percentage also was measured, with a wind tunnel, to reach all relative information about the droplet spectrum of the tested application. The CE formulation pesticides showed better agronomical and environmental application conditions. The studied parameters of drift and droplet spectrum didn´t influence the enginery process of herbicides presented in this study.
