Hip dysplasia is a disorder resulting from the abnormal growth or development of the coxofemoral joint. Due to the importance of disease in dog population, this article aims to describe some aspects of the lesion considering the clinical signs and diagnostic imaging techniques. In addition, the results of studies that used kinematic analysis as a tool for evaluation will be described.
