Abstract

A osteorradionecrose (ORN) durante muito tempo foi considerada como um tipo de osteomielite do osso irradiado, sendo uma das mais importantes complicações da radioterapia de cabeça e pescoço. Esta complicação ainda se faz presente apesar dos avanços no tratamento do paciente com câncer. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi enfatizar os principais fatores relacionados a ORN, suas características clínicas e terapêuticas por meio de uma revisão de literatura.

La osteorradionecrosis (ORN) es una complicación del tejido óseo irradiado y una de las complicaciones más importantes de la radioterapia de cabeza y cuello. Esta complicación aún se presenta a pesar de los avances en el tratamiento al paciente con cáncer. Así, el objetivo de este trabajo fue hacer hincapié en los principales factores relacionados con la ORN, características clínicas y terapéuticas a través de una revisión de la literatura.

The osteoradionecrosis (ORN) during long was considered as hum type of osteomyelitis spent bone, being one of the major complications of radiotherapy head and neck. This complicate are presents despite advances in the treatment of cancer patients, Therefore, the objective of this work was to emphasize the main factors predisposing ORN, its clinical features and treatment through a literature review.
