Abstract

The aim of the present work was to induce flowering under non inductive conditions, and increase flowering and yield, in an inductive condition of yellow passion fruit, using plant regulators and biostimulant. The experiments were carried out at commercial orchard in Araguari county, MG State, employing a split plot experimental design, considering treatments with plant regulators and biostimulant as the main plot and the exposition of the shoots to two conditions of luminosity as the split plots. In the first experiment, the treatments consisted of control, 50 and 100 mg L-1 of GA3 and 2 and 4 g/plant of Paclobutrazole (PBZ), for flowering induction in non inductive conditions. Shoot length, node spacing and number, and flower bud number were evaluated. The results showed that GA3 and PBZ were significant for the studied variables except for flower bud number. Shoots exposed to morning luminosity had larger length. In the second trial the control, 100, 200 and 300 mg L-1 of GA3 and 2.08, 4.17 and 6.25 mL L-1 of Stimulatetm, were tested for flower induction in non inductive conditions. Shoot length, node spacing and number, and flower bud number were evaluated. GA3 and Stimulatetm did not influence the studied variables neither their rates. All studied variables were higher in shoot exposed to morning luminosity. Shoots exposed to afternoon luminosity died at 90 days after the first treatment application. In the last experiment, the increasing effect of the control, 100, 200 and 300 mg L-1 of GA3 and 2.08, 4.17 and 6.25 mL L-1 of Stimulatetm on flowering and yield in an inductive condition was observed. GA3 and Stimulatetm did not provide significant effect on flower number, as well as for fruit number, yield and fruit mass. The highest ATT content was obtained in the yield of January and March, with GA3 200 mL L-1. SST were not influenced by GA3 and PBZ. The largest flower number was obtained in the trellis side exposed to afternoon luminosity.
