¿Es la franquicia un sistema dual?

Abstract

El objetivo general de nuestro trabajo consiste en estudiar y analizar la dualidad del sistema de franquicia. En particular, indagar sobre qué variables pueden explicar las razones que llevan a los franquiciadores a la utilización de la franquicia como alternativa a las unidades propias. En segundo lugar, determinar si para explicar la confianza o uso de la franquicia dentro del sistema de franquicia españols se pueden identificar clases latentes. Es decir, grupos de franquiciadores cuyas variables explicativas tienen relaciones distintas con el porcentaje de unidades franquiciadas. La metodología empleada es la regresión de clases latentes (RCL) que consideramos como novedosa en la investigación de franquicia. Los resultados obtenidos difieren de forma importante a los obtenidos en investigaciones precedentes utilizando otras metodologías. Además, ponemos en cuestión que la franquicia sea un sistema dual, proposición que es tomada como punto de partida de la mayor parte de las investigaciones en este campo.
