Este Trabajo Fin de Grado comprende un estudio sobre rehabilitación estructural de edifi cios patrimoniales industriales, empleando para ello el caso concreto de la antigua fábrica de sombreros de Sevilla, realizando una propuesta de intervención estructural sobre uno de sus edifi cios más signifi - cativos, construido en 1917 por el afamado arquitecto José Espiau y Muñoz. Con el compromiso de garantizar que dicha propuesta se ajuste en la mayor medida posible al caso concreto escogido, se analiza previamente el contexto histórico del conjunto, su situación y estado actual, estudiando de forma concreta el marco normativo urbanístico actual dada la pertenencia del conjunto al patrimonio industrial sevillano, complementando dicha documentación con el modelado y análisis de la estructura y la evaluación del estado actual de la misma.

This Final Degree Project includes a study on structural rehabilitation of industrial heritage buildings, using the specifi c case of the old factory of hats in Seville, creating a structural intervention proposal over one of its most signifi cant buildings, built in 1917 by the renowned architect Jose Espiau y Muñoz. For the purpose of guaranteeing that said proposal matches completely the chosen case, fi rst we analyze the historical context of the ensemble, as well as its current situation and status, studying specifi cally the present urban policy framework given the belonging of the ensemble to the industrial Sevillian heritage. In the end, we will accompany the cited documents with the structure’s modelling and analysis as well as the evaluation of its current status.
