This article shows the most relevant events that has taken place in the Labour Market ofSpain and Andalusia in the second quarter of 2009. Statistical information disposal shows decelera-tions in the falling of the most important labour variables. It is relevant the slowdown in the evolutionof unemployment due to some government policies and also to the stationary that happens in thesecond quarter of every year. In relation to the evolution of Spanish labour supply we must empha-size the reduction that has been estimated in this period and that has not happened since 1998. On theother hand, employment ́s fall continues, although at a lower rate than in previous periods. Somethingsimilar occurs with unemployment growth rate. In Andalusian labor market the most outstandingfigure is that the number of estimated unemployed is almost one million

El artículo muestra la evolución reciente de las principales variables laborales en España yAndalucía en el segundo trimestre de 2009. Los datos disponibles muestran una desaceleración de lacaída del las principales variables laborales. Sobre todo, el freno en la caída del desempleo muestrael efecto de algunas medidas gubernamentales y también la estacionalidad propia del segundotrimestre del año. En cuanto a la oferta de trabajo hay que destacar que en este periodo se ha regis-trado una reducción intertrimestral que, aunque ligera, rompe una constante de aumento desde 1998.El empleo sigue descendiendo, aunque a un ritmo menor así como ocurre con el aumento del desem-pleo. En lo que respecta a Andalucía hay que destacar que el número de desempleados se acerca almillón de efectivos.
