Relationship between St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist is common from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In Counter-reformation, cult of the two St. John’s took off. Due to popular piety, altarpieces were made for both in parish and convent churches. Therefore, public opinion was divided, that brought different personal preferences. As a result, there are outstanding sculptures of them, which belong to important private collections of Seville. In this paper we study six examples in polychrome carved wood. These artworks are based on style of great masters of Sevillian School, such as, Juan de Mesa or the Ribas; and within court focus, Luis Salvador Carmona
