Abstract

The economic crisis is severely beating the Spanish Labour Market. The destruction ofemployment and the increasing number of unemployed placed the Spanish economy in a situation ofespecial danger compared with other European countries. In this article we review the recentevolution of the main labour variables both in Spain and in Andalusia. We use a traditionalmethodology and begin with a brief description of the economic situation of Spain. Then, we analysefirstly the evolution of labour supply, secondly the evolution of employment and finally the dynamicsof unemployment. We follow the same method to present the recent characteristics of the Andalusianlabour market in the same period of time
