Abstract

The Spanish economy seems to have entered into a period of stagflation and it is difficult todiscover the exit of the tunnel, on the contrary, in other European countries the end of the economiccrisis seems to be near. As a consequence of this slow process, Spanish employment continues aprocess of deterioration in this third quarter of 2009. There is also taking place a reduction in thelabour supply so, the total number of unemployed has been reduced this quarter althoughunemployment is still growing attending to annual rates. With respect to the Andalusian LabourMarket we find similar behaviour in the main variables. Although unemployment growth seems tohave stopped, the process of destruction of employment goes on affecting, with especial strength, tomales and foreigner workers
