Alimentación: contaminantes radioactivos

Abstract

This senior thesis has been elaborated on become aware of the importance of a healthy diet and nutrition for optimal development of the human being, specifically in the children's stage. It is considered to be different types of radioactive contaminants that are present at food which we could eat. This paper has two main purposes: the report and the different information of a healthy diet for schoolchildren; and an analysis of the radioactivity level which is present at food served in a school canteen. It could be due to the absenteeism about nuclear safety in this area. We have checked from a Geiger device to realize this project; which is available at the Faculty of Educational Sciences in Seville; the radiation has been measured in food which has been offered by a catering in a canteen of a summer school. The measures have been represented in a distribution graph based on two variables: the type of food and the resulting radioactive measurement. The extracted results have been proved that some food is under the threshold of dangerousness radioactivity. However, we could affirm basing on different studies, that these studies do not inform exactly the danger and consequences which could develop the radioactivity for the human being in long time
