Seda. Un viaje en el tiempo

Abstract

El proyecto presentado se desarrolla en torno a un tema principal: La seda. Un tejido devanado en diferentes aspectos a tratar: geográfico, histórico, socio-cultural y artístico. Uno de los objetivos del proyecto es realizar un recorrido desde la Antigua China sedera, hasta los actuales productores de industrias especializadas en esta materia. Análisis de los testimonios encontrados procedentes de esculturas asirias, persas y griegas así como los numerosos escritos clásicos, que servirán como fundamento de peso para el estudio del desarrollo del arte textil. Un recorrido geográfico, histórico, social y cultural por antiguos caminos, conocidos como La Ruta de la Seda, que supuso la unión, en el s. I d.C, de las ciudades costeras del Oriente Próximo con el lejano y desconocido Imperio Chino. Dos mil años de historia recorridos sobre desiertos, cordilleras y estepas punteados; ciudades magnificas como Damasco o Bagdad. Frio o calor; viento y lluvia. Se estudia del desarrollo de la evolución de la técnica llamada “pintura en seda”; desde antiguas leyendas y tradiciones milenarias orientales, hasta los principales movimientos que hoy en día mantienen viva esta antiquísima técnica pictórica en el mundo occidental. Hay en este trabajo una práctica experimental, paralela a la investigación sobre la seda como soporte pictórico. Realización de tres obras pictóricas sobre dicha materia con técnicas diferentes para, a partir de la experimentación, elaborar un marco teórico sobre procesos, materiales y experiencias.
