Carillas indirectas en resina compuesta como tratamiento alternativo estético-restaurador

Abstract

Objetivo: determinar la efectividad de las carillas indirectas en resina compuesta mediante una revisión bibliográfica, para avalar su uso como tratamiento alternativo estético-restaurador. Materiales y Métodos: se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en las bases de datos de PubMed y ScienceDirect, de acuerdo con las palabras claves que se encontraban dentro de los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Resultados: fueron seleccionados un total de 20 artículos que se encontraban dentro de los criterios de inclusión. Dichos artículos fueron analizados con el fin de establecer los resultados sobre el estudio. Se obtuvo una tabla con los artículos expuestos, a partir de su lectura y análisis para posteriormente realizar la respectiva discusión y conclusiones. Discusión: existen varias ventajas dentro del uso de carillas indirectas en resina. Es posible lograr un diseño personalizado ya que no se confecciona directamente en el ambiente oral, permite alcanzar buenas propiedades mecánicas y ópticas ya que al ser sometido a post-curación la composición de las resinas logran un mayor desempeño clínico y es un procedimiento mínimamente invasivo ya que no necesita excesiva preparación y se considera un tratamiento económicamente asequible. Conclusiones: las carillas indirectas en resina compuesta como procedimiento estético constituyen un tratamiento alternativo efectivo por el cual se puede lograr un buen resultado clínico y buenas propiedades mecánicas.
