In this work halide related defects in photoluminescent metal-halide perovskites, its influence on emission properties and posible means to improve its photoluminescence(PL) are investigated. In order to do so an optical study on photophysical mechanisms related to halide dynamics in CH3NH3PbBr3 micron sized single crystals is presented and efects of halide vapor treatments are examined. In particular spacial and spectral activation dynamics are reported. Next halide vapor treatments are applied to single crystals wherein dramatic enhancements in PL are observed. To understand the origin of this increase, temporal and spacial resolved measurements are used. Finally an explanation for a penetration mechanism is proposed.
