A nurnerical study based on the Boundary Element Method, analyzing the effect of residual stresses resulting from the matrix curing process on the propagation of fiber-matrix interface cracks is presented. Remote loading acting transversely to the fiber direction is assurned. Two configurations are analized: a basic cell configuration and a single fiber one, the last one being better suited for possible cxperimentation. Se presenta un estudio numérico basado en el Método de le los Elementos de Contorno, del efecto de las tensiones residuales debidas al curado de la matriz sobre la propagación de grietas de interfase entre las fibras y la matriz, cuando el material es cargado transversalmente a las fibras. Se analiza una configuración de una celda b ásica del material y otra de otra única, más apta para posibles ensayos experimentales. Las propiedades de los materiales corresponden a fibra de vidrio y matriz epoxy.
