Abstract

This Final Undergraduate Project, which is entitled "Designing a tool for the exchange of products and services for the university community", and concerning to the Undergraduate in Industrial Technologies Engineering (I.T.E), proposes the creation of a application web, called Ofertus, in which the students of the different educational centres of the University of Seville (US) will be able to exchange resources (both products and services) through a pay system based on the acquisition of points that act as a virtual currency. The idea is to create a kind of free market in which each individual will value their own resources and put them at the service of others. The objective is that the user can sell his/her products and buy new products of interest with the points earned from his/her sales. In addition to the development and implementation of the application web (with HTML,PHP and CSS language) and database (with MySQL), the current market situation is analyzed and a survey has been carried out to the target users (the university community of the US) in order to explore the success probability of the platform. The data obtained have been processed and analyzed using a Logit model that has allowed to relate the probability of using the platform to the personal and academic characteristics of the individual. The estimation has been executed with the econometric software STATA.
