Abstract

Se analiza el mensaje que caracteriza la publicidad de alimentos focalizando nuestra atención en la temática salud. Se observa qué tipo de “reclamos de salud” prevalecen, las categorías que más los utilizan, si aparecen junto a otros alimentos, horario de comida expuesta y contexto que describe el producto. Se realiza un análisis de contenido de los spots de alimentación emitidos en las cadenas españolas de emisión en abierto. Yogures y Lácteos son las categorías que más uso hacen de los reclamos de salud; sus productos aparecen solos, fuera del horario de las cinco comidas establecidas y promoviendo beneficios saludables.

To study the claims characterizing food advertising focusing our attention on the health issue. To observe what kind of “health claims” are the most common by product categories, if they appear alongside other foods, lunchtime showed and context that describes the product. To do a content analysis of the power spots broadcasted on Spanish public and private open broadcast. Yoghurt and Dairy are the categories that make more use of health claims, their products appear alone, after hours of five set meals and promoting the health benefits.

Esta investigación forma parte del trabajo de tesis doctoral titulado “Análisis formal y de contenido de los spots de alimentos dirigidos a la infancia”. La misma se enmarca dentro del proyecto de investigación «Los valores sociales en los spots publicitarios» (GV06/090), subvencionado por la Generalitat Valenciana y dirigido por la profesora Claudia Rausell.
