Abstract

El comportamiento de terrenos predominados por estratos blandos siempre ha planteado problemas, debido a su complejidad con respecto a otros tipos de suelo. En el presente TFG se presenta el estudio de un terreno multicapa predominado por terrenos blandos, sobre el cual se apoya un terraplén de prueba (precarga). Este trabajo ha traído consigo, en primer lugar, un proceso de recolecta de información de bibliografía y experiencias de estudios previos en terrenos blandos. Posteriormente, se ha llevado a cabo la caracterización de los parámetros geotécnicos del suelo en estudio, en base a ensayos in situ y de laboratorio realizados en la zona. Seguidamente, se han comparado los resultados medidos por instrumentos de auscultación colocados en el terraplén con los resultados obtenidos utilizando un modelo analítico de consolidación unidimensional del terreno y con los derivados de un modelo numérico de elementos finitos (en los que se ha utilizado el modelo constitutivo Mohr-Coulomb para los estratos arenosos y el modelo Cam-Clay Modificado para suelos blandos). Se ha comprobado que los anteriores modelos han simulado en buenas condiciones, y siempre del lado de la seguridad, el comportamiento del terreno. Finalmente, se ha propuesto el diseño de un sistema de mejora del terreno mediante columnas de gravas, de forma complementaria a la precarga, y se ha comprobado la disminución del asiento final y la aceleración del tiempo de consolidación del terreno, además del aumento de la resistencia del mismo.
