Uso de compuestos naturales frente a la anisakidosis

Abstract

La anisakidosis es una enfermedad parasitaria causada por la ingestión de pescado crudo o poco cocinado infectado con larvas de Anisakis principalmente por Anisakis simplex y Anisakis pegreffii. Se trata de una zoonosis de distribución mundial con mayor incidencia en Japón seguido de España por el alto nivel de consumo de pescado como merluza, jurel y bacaladilla. Como tratamiento se utilizan antibióticos como el albendazol, mebendazol y tiabendazol, antiestamínicos y/o corticoides aunque no hay suficientes pruebas que avalen su eficacia. Como metodología se ha buscado información sobre la actividad de compuestos naturales frente a la larva en tercer estadío de Anisakis simplex recogida de revistas científicas, libros, tesis e informes a través de bases de datos y búsquedas en Pubmed, Medline, Scopus, Mendeley, Google scholar y Science direct. Utilizando para ello los términos de: Anisakis, theraphy y biologycal products. El resultado obtenido en el presente trabajo de revisión ha sido la recopilación y análisis de numerosos trabajos in vivo e in vitro en los que se prueba la actividad de los compuestos naturales frente Anisakis tipo I tales como extractos de plantas, aceites esenciales, compuestos fenólicos, terpenos y enzimas. De todos estos compuestos los autores sugieren seguir investigando algunos de ellos; citral, carvagol, nerolidol, farnesol, aceites esenciales de menta y el perillaldehido entre otros. Las principales conclusiones del presente trabajo son: la existencia de alternativas terapéuticas con compuestos naturales frente a la anisakidosis que muestran prometedoras propiedades, que la sinérgia de algunos compuestos tiene un papel importante y abre muchos campos de estudio y que hay resultados in vivo no esperados que pueden ser debidos a el pH del medio en la cavidad gástrica.
