Este artículo indaga acerca del papel que le cupo a la mujer en la definición de las relaciones de solidaridad familiar, las que también se extendieron a otros miembros de la sociedad, y cómo dichas relaciones pudieron haber contribuido a la cohesión de la sociedad colonial, aspecto vital de la administración castellana. Aquellos lazos solidarios habrían permanecido en estado de subyacencia y sobrevivido a la crisis independentista rioplatense, contribuyendo a la reorganización de la sociedad. De allí surge el interés por revisar este tema que puede ser relevante para comprender, a través del estudio de redes sociales, la organización político-administrativa que dio nacimiento a un nuevo Estado independiente.

This article inquires into the role that women played in the definition of relationships of familiar solidarity -which also included other members of society- and how such relationships could have contributed to colonial society cohesion, an essential aspect of castellana administration. Those relationships of solidarity would appear to have remained underlying and therefore survived the independence rioplatense crisis, thus contribuing to the reorganization of society. The interest in reviewing this subject results from this fact as it could be relevant to understand, through the study of social networks, both the political and administrative organization that gave rise to a new independent state.
