Estudio de la deseabilidad social en una investigación mediante encuestas a empresarios andaluces

Abstract

El análisis de la realidad social es sumamente complejo, dada la naturaleza del objeto de estudio. Por ello, la combinación de técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas de análisis, se ha mostrado como una opción adecuada para las investigaciones en ciencias sociales. En este artículo se pretende poner de manifiesto la importancia de considerar ciertas técnicas cualitativas como apoyo a las investigaciones en las que puede existir un sesgo o error de medición, causado o ligado a fenómenos de “deseabilidad social” en los estudios mediante encuestas. Para ello, se plantea el análisis de una serie de variables que pueden verse influidas por la “deseabilidad social”, en un estudio realizado a 360 empresas, dentro del sector de Servicios Avanzados a las Empresas en Andalucía. En dicho estudio se han empleado dos técnicas de análisis, que son las que aquí vamos a comparar: Por un lado, se aplicó una entrevista en profundidad a un grupo de empresarios, siguiendo un guion con las cuestiones a estudiar. A otro grupo de empresarios se les plantearon las mismas cuestiones, pero en esta ocasión a través de un cuestionario impreso autoadministrado, que se les envió por fax.
