Abstract

Definir un curriculum oficial, tal como se prefigura en el actual proceso de Reforma, es tomar posición respecto a la cultura que se desea irradiar desde la escuela. De ahí que hayamos tomado la cultura como concepto de referencia, para desde él abordar la posible relación que en el ámbito de la escuela deberían establecerse entre la cultura audiovisual y el curriculum escolar. No se considera que esta relación haya de pasar necesariamente por la inclusión en el curriculum de una asignatura con los contenidos y formas audiovisuales. Se apuesta, más bien, porque el trabajo en la escuela genere en los alumnos un pensamiento y actitud crítica y creativa hacia la cultura audiovisual, lo mismo que hacia el resto de las formas culturales.
