In this paper we justify that the actual conception of human "identity" is opposed to the human hope, because this concept is contradictory with the real distinction in the man between act of being and essence. We explain also that this identity is synonym of another expressions like “fin en sí”, “ser en sí”, “ser para sí”, “self-realization”, “fidelity to yourself”. At the end, we defend that it is convenient to link the philosophy with the personal hope, but not with the identity.
